The Liberian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sara Beysolow Nyanti, commended on April 18 in Rabat, the pioneering role of His Majesty King Mohammed VI in Africa in the political, economic, security, and religious fields.
In a joint press release published following her meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, Nyanti notably praised the enlightened initiative of His Majesty the King to promote access of the Sahel States to the Atlantic, which is aimed at making the African Atlantic zone a pragmatic and ideal geostrategic framework for intra-African cooperation.
During this meeting, the two parties also reaffirmed their commitment to contributing to efforts to resolve disputes in Africa, while hailing the constant efforts of the Kingdom of Morocco, under the wise and enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah assist Him, and the Republic of Liberia, under the leadership of His Excellency President Joseph Boakai, in favor of peace and sustainable development in Africa.
It should be recalled that during the same meeting, the Liberian official expressed her country’s support for Morocco’s territorial integrity and sovereignty over its entire territory, including the Moroccan Sahara, reiterating Liberia’s support for the autonomy initiative, presented by the Kingdom in 2007, which constitutes the only credible and realistic solution for the resolution of the dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.
