The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi El Alami, held talks on May 20 in Rabat with the President of the Swiss National Council, Eric Nussbaumer, on a working visit to Morocco at the head of a large parliamentary delegation.
Taking place in the presence of Switzerland’s Ambassador to Morocco Guillaume Scheurer, these talks focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation, particularly in the parliamentary field.
During this meeting, Nussbaumer also expressed his institution’s willingness to consolidate cooperation with Morocco, particularly in terms of trade, scientific research, professional training, renewable energies, and migration.
In the same context, the Swiss official invited Talbi El Alami to pay a working visit to Switzerland to examine ways to boost relations between the two legislative institutions and explore new cooperation prospects.
For his part, Talbi El Alami presented an overview of the institutional reforms and major projects launched by the Kingdom under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, stressing the importance of consolidating collaboration between the two legislative institutions, through the exchange of expertise in all areas of parliamentary action.
