The Royal Moroccan Equestrian Society (SOREC) will hold, on May 7 at the Marrakech racecourse, His Highness Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Racing Festival.
The Royal Moroccan Equestrian Society (SOREC) stated that this international equestrian event will feature five races, including three flagship prizes, the Grand Prix Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Prize, and the Wathba Stallion Cup Prize, adding that this major event aims to promote Arabian horse racing around the world.
Created in 2003, under the aegis of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, and Water and Forests, the Royal Moroccan Equestrian Society (SOREC) is in charge of the supervision of horse breeding, the development of horse racing and the management of horse games in Morocco.
SOREC supervises horse breeding companies, supports breeding programs as a partner of breeders’ associations, and ensures the improvement of national horse-breeding infrastructures.
SOREC is committed to a policy aimed at improving the competitiveness of the Moroccan breeding industry and boosting the horse market.
SOREC’s operations extend across the country with five stud farms, forty-three breeding stations, eleven equine reproduction centers as well as numerous collaborations with the main equine associations of the Kingdom.
