The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, noted that relations uniting Morocco and Mauritania have promising prospects.
Speaking at a joint press briefing with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, on January 22 in Rabat, Ould Merzoug stated that talks focused in particular on the latest developments on the Arab, African, and Islamic levels, underlining, in this context, the two parties’ convergence of views on the issues discussed.
In this regard, the Mauritanian Foreign Minister affirmed that relations uniting the two countries are based on solid foundations and ties of blood and religion, adding that coordination between the heads of state and the ministries of the two countries aims to serve the best interests of the two brotherly peoples.
