Morocco records 169 new covid-19 cases and 17 deaths in 24 Hours

 

‘’ Concerning the epidemiological situation in Morocco, 169 new covid-19 cases have been recorded in the past 24 Hours, increasing the total number of confirmed cases to 939,356 since the first case was announced on March 2, 2020’’, Morocco’s Ministry of Health reported.

Besides, the ministry also recorded 568 recoveries, bringing the total number of recovered infections to 918,375, accounting for 97, 7 percent of Morocco’s total recovery rate. Equally alarming, 17 more people related to covid-19 died from this vicious epidemic, which raised the death toll to 14,474. That is, Morocco has recently a 1.5 percent fatality rate.

The current highest recorded deaths encompass the Rabat-Sale-Kenitra region which recorded 6, followed by the Casablanca-Settat region by recording 3, Tangier-Titouan-Al-Hoceima which recorded 3, the Eastern region which recorded 1, the Fes-Meknes region which recorded 1, the Marrakesh-Safi region which recorded 1, the Beni Mellal-Khenifra region by recording 1, and 1 inDaraa Tafilalet.

  Further, the ministry highlighted, in the Daily Bulletin of the results of (Covid-19), that the number of people who received the first dose of the vaccine against Covid-19 reached 23 070 027 people, while the number of those who received a second dose Covid-19 vaccination reached 20 277 782 people. Regarding Covid-19 third dose vaccine, 228 864 people received it.
