Morocco records 655 new covid-19 cases and 14 deaths In 24 Hours

‘’ Concerning the epidemiological situation in Morocco, 655 new covid-19 cases have been recorded in the past 24 Hours, increasing the total number of confirmed cases to 938,286 since the first case was announced on March 2, 2020’’, Morocco’s Ministry of Health reported.

Besides, the ministry also recorded 1,307 recoveries, bringing the total number of recovered infections to 916,324, accounting for 97, 6 percent of Morocco’s total recovery rate. Equally alarming, 14 more people related to covid-19 died from this vicious epidemic, which raised the death toll to 14,427. That is, Morocco has recently a 1.5 percent fatality rate.

The current highest recorded deaths encompass the Rabat-Sale-Kenitra region which recorded 5, followed by the Eastern region which recorded 4, the Casablanca-Settat region by recording 3, in addition to 1 in Tangier-Titouan- Al Hoceima region, and 1 in Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab.

  Further, the ministry highlighted, in the Daily Bulletin of the results of (Covid-19), that the number of people who received the first dose of the vaccine against Covid-19 reached 23 012 112 people, while the number of those who received a second dose Covid-19 vaccination reached 20 047 440 people.
