The preparatory ministerial meeting for the Africa Fertilizer and Soil Health Summit kicked off on May 6 in Nairobi with the participation of Morocco.
The Kingdom is represented at this meeting by the Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, and Water and Forests, Mohamed Sadiki, who leads a large delegation including Morocco’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the African Union (AU) and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), Mohamed Arrouchi.
Organized by the African Union and the Kenyan government, the Summit will bring together African heads of state, senior government officials, private sector actors, and representatives of civil society organizations on May 8.
The Summit will result in the adoption of a ten-year action plan which would provide concrete recommendations on measures to be taken by African leaders and various stakeholders over the next ten years to meet the aspirations of African citizens.
