Morocco and the US pledged, Wednesday in Rabat, to strengthen their bilateral cooperation, particularly in the field of transport.
“Morocco is ready to further expand its cooperation with the US in the field of transport and road safety,” stated Minister of Transport and Logistics, Mohamed Abdeljalil, following his meeting with the American ambassador to Morocco, Puneet Talwar.
During this meeting, Abdeljalil stated the two parties highlighted the improvement and upgrading of the railway network, the expansion of the high-speed line, and the development of airport infrastructure.
For his part, Talwar highlighted the excellent relations between Morocco and the US, stressing that this meeting was an opportunity to be informed by the Moroccan minister of the ambitious and innovative plans of the Moroccan government in several areas, particularly relating to transport.“The two countries share several common interests in this field that we must keep working on,” noted the American diplomat.
