The Summit Conference of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held in Banjul, expressed its total rejection of all separatist plans aimed at undermining the sovereignty of the Organization’s member countries and the security and integrity of their territories.
According to the Communiqué published following the Summit’s 15th session, separatist entities pose a threat to political and security stability in several regions, including Africa, and are no less dangerous than terrorist and extremist groups, since they share the same ideological alliance and are equipped with the same financial, tactical, and practical means.
The same Communiqué urged member countries to adopt a comprehensive and integrated approach to strengthen efforts to limit the spread of extremism, terrorism, and separatism.
