The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, held talks on May 14 in Manama with the Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine, Mohamad Mustafa, on ways to strengthen relations between the two brotherly countries and the evolution of the situation in Palestine.
On this occasion, Bourita reiterated the Kingdom’s constant position, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of Al-Quds Committee, in support of the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent State with East Al-Quds as its capital on the borders of June 4, 1967.
The minister also expressed Morocco’s rejection of all Israeli violations and provocations in the occupied Palestinian territories, including Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa Mosque, stressing the need to transport humanitarian aid in sufficient quantities and without hindrance to the Gaza Strip.
For his part, Mustafa commended Morocco’s constant and unwavering position in support of the Palestinian cause, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, hailing the initiatives and actions carried out by Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency, the executive arm of Al-Quds Committee, to support the holy city and strengthen the resistance of Maqdessis.
The two ministers also affirmed the determination of Morocco and Palestine to continue cooperation, coordination, and consultation in various areas, in accordance with the common vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Committee Al-Quds, and His Excellency President Mahmoud Abbas.
