Russia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergey Lavrov, praised on December 20, in Marrakech, Morocco’s significant efforts to ensure the successful organization of the 6th Arab-Russian Cooperation Forum.
“Morocco has invested great efforts in ensuring the successful organization of this forum, which will contribute to strengthening Russian-Arab relations,” stated the head of Russian diplomacy during a joint press briefing with his Moroccan counterpart, Nasser Bourita, and the Assistant Secretary General of the Arab League, on the sidelines of the forum.
In a similar context, Lavrov noted that “Morocco is one of our main partners on the African continent and in the Arab world and we share common projects”, expressing Russia’s willingness to develop its partnership with the Kingdom in several vital sectors, such as culture, mines and energy.
Speaking about the situation in the Middle East, the Russian official recalled that his country, in coordination with its partners, is involved in ensuring the stability of the situation in the long term and finding a solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict through diplomatic means.
