Indian consulting group HCL Tech inaugurated, on July 25 in Sale, a “Global Delivery Center” specializing in technical support and software engineering services.
This new platform was inaugurated during a ceremony chaired by the Minister Delegate in charge of Digital Transition and Administration Reform, Ghita Mezzour, accompanied by the Minister Delegate in charge of Investment, Convergence, and Public Policy Evaluation, Mohcine Jazouli, and the President of HCL Tech, Roshni Nadar Malhotra.
This new strategic center, as HCL Tech’s first center in Africa, strengthens the commercial and cultural ties between Morocco and India and testifies to the company’s confidence in Moroccan know-how in the field of IT.
The Global Delivery Center aims to become a key part of HCL Tech’s nearshore strategy, enabling the company to deliver digital transformation projects to its global customers while benefiting from Morocco’s highly skilled talent.
This major project is the fruit of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed in 2022, during a working visit conducted by Mezzour to India, between the Moroccan government and the Indian technology group to promote Morocco as an investment destination in the field of new technologies.
This launch also demonstrates HCL Tech’s commitment to investing in Morocco’s technology sector and promoting the development of local skills, as well as the importance that the Moroccan government attaches to the development of the technology sector and its willingness to promote international cooperation.
