Spain’s Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union, and Cooperation, José Manuel Albares, stated that the 2030 World Cup, which will be hosted by Morocco, Spain, and Portugal, “will build bridges between countries and civilizations and promote the noble values of sport.”
The Spanish official wrote, on the social network X, that his country, “together with our neighbors, Portugal and Morocco, we will be hosting the 2030 World Cup,” noting that “by organizing the Cup for the first time on two continents, Spain, Morocco and Portugal will build bridges and promote the values of sport.”
His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah assist Him, announced to the Moroccan people on October 4 that the FIFA Council has just unanimously selected the Morocco-Spain-Portugal bid as the sole candidate to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
According to a statement by the Royal Cabinet, this decision by the Council of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) honors and recognizes Morocco’s position in the world of great nations.
“On this occasion, His Majesty the King extends his congratulations to the Kingdom of Spain and the Republic of Portugal, while reiterating the Kingdom’s commitment to working in perfect synergy with the authorities in charge of the bid in each of the host countries,” concluded the statement.
