2023 WB-IMF Annual Meetings: RAM Establishes Exceptional Program

Royal Air Maroc (RAM) is offering an exceptional program to support the organization of the 2023 Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), a major global event scheduled to take place in Marrakech (October 9-15).

This program mobilized significant human and material resources and mainly includes a large-scale mobilization of Royal Air Maroc’s (RAM) operational teams at Marrakech and Casablanca airports and the main international transit hubs, as well as a promotional fare offer for participants.

On this occasion, the CEO of Royal Air Maroc (RAM), Abdelhamid Addou, stressed that “through this exceptional program, the airline aims to contribute to the success of this global event, which is expecting the attendance of the world’s finance elites, leading personalities, and high-level executives,” adding that this program is a testament to “RAM’s commitment to promoting Morocco’s international position and its involvement in the country’s major projects, including the organization of world-class events.”

10,000 ADDITIONAL SEATS

In terms of supply and capacity, Royal Air Maroc (RAM) is offering 18,000 seats on departure from the countries taking part in this major event, including 10,000 additional seats. Approximately 5,268 seats will be made available to the American market. On this occasion, three direct flights will be operated for the first time by Royal Air Maroc (RAM) from Washington to Marrakech on October 4, 6 and 8.

This exceptional flight program also includes increased flight frequencies on the Paris-Marrakech (three flights a day), Marrakech-Marseille (three flights a week), and Marrakech-Brussels (two flights a week) air routes, in addition to the other flights via Casablanca, which cover issuing countries in Europe, North America, Africa, and the Middle East.

Royal Air Maroc (RAM) is also offering a special promotional fare for participants in the 2023 Annual Meetings of the World Bank (WB) Group and the International Monetary Fund (FMI), both in economy and business class. Tickets are available in Royal Air Maroc (RAM) agencies, for travel dates between September 25 and October 30. To benefit from this offer, participants must go to a Royal Air Maroc (RAM) agency with proof of their registration for the event.

STRENGTHENING GROUND OPERATIONS

Royal Air Maroc’s (RAM) unprecedented plan also includes a reinforcement of ground operations, thanks to the mobilization of the company’s operational teams, both in Morocco and abroad.

A special customer pathway will be established at departure and arrival points in New York, Washington, Paris (Orly and Charles de Gaule airports), Casablanca, and Marrakech, in addition to dedicated check-in counters, with displays on the screens.

To simplify travel for participants in the 2023 Annual Meetings, Royal Air Maroc (RAM) designed personalized luggage “tags,” in addition to stickers which will be affixed to boarding passes.

The Moroccan air-carrier is also strengthening its material and human resources at Marrakech International Airport and in Washington, New York, Paris, Brussels, and Doha, the main transit hubs for participants in this event to provide efficient support for participants throughout their journey, from check-in to arrival. Shuttle systems will also be reinforced at the Casablanca and Marrakech hubs.
