HM King Mohammed VI Performs Friday Prayer at Al Hadi Mosque in Salé

His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, may Allah assist Him, performed Friday prayers at Al Hadi mosque in Salé.

At the start of his Khutbah, the imam emphasized that truthful Tawhid (oneness) requires the faithful to perceive good and evil as divine properties, as long as it is the Almighty who grants grace and makes evil disappear.

The imam explained that among the graces granted by Allah to His creatures are those specified in the Qur’anic verse: “And Allah has extracted you from the wombs of your mothers not knowing a thing, and He made for you hearing and vision and intellect that perhaps you would be grateful”. (Surah An-Nahl: 78)

In this regard, the imam noted that the fact that Allah brought Man out of nothing and endowed him with the means of sustenance is a sign of the Creator’s blessings and benevolence towards each individual, knowing that Allah wants His creatures to live in community, guided in this by the knowledge and wisdom handed down by prophetic tradition.

To this end, the imam pointed out that the Moroccan nation should, of all nations, be the most grateful to Allah for being graced with the supreme Imamate which, as the guarantor of security and faith, ensures a dignified life and repels fear and destitution.

The religious lecturer noted that “our Supreme Imamate in the person of the Commander of the Faithful, may Allah preserve Him, is our model of success in the life of this world and of reward in the Hereafter”, which constitutes signs that people do not fail to see in all the actions of the Commander of the Faithful, may Allah glorify Him.

In this context, the imam explained that these revealing signs are manifested in the attachment to the Holy Qur’an, the Sunnah of the Prophet Mohammed, blessings and peace be upon him, and the affection devoted to the virtuous Saints, as well as in the inclination to cultivate unity, concord, and solidarity between the components of the nation, which is in keeping with the spirit of Ijtihad aimed at eliminating injustice and ensuring that family, woman, and children enjoy their rights.

He stressed that the Moroccan nation, endowed with great sensitivity, instinctively grasps the sincere aims of its Imam and His resolute management, noting that, each time it is confronted with a trial as was the case during the earthquake, this great nation delivers formidable scenes that reflect the noble virtues of this Supreme Imamate and give full measure to the wealth of this treasure of moral values that make its greatness in the concert of secular nations.

Quoting the Qur’anic verse “And [remember] when your Lord proclaimed, ‘If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor]; but if you deny, indeed, My punishment is severe.” (Surah Ibrahim: 7), the Imam argued that this divine proclamation challenges us to become aware and appreciate the true value of the different benefits and be grateful to the Creator.

He also stressed that showing gratitude to Allah through words alone is not enough, as more perseverance and dedication in deeds should be shown.

At the end of his Khutbah, the Imam implored the Almighty to glorify, assist, and preserve His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, to crown his steps with success and fill the Sovereign in the persons of HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid, and all the members of the illustrious Royal Family.

The Imam also implored Allah to surround the late HM King Mohammed V and the late HM King Hassan II with His Holy mercy, welcome them into His vast paradise, and amply reward them for their noble deeds.
