The President of the Republic of Senegal, Macky Sall, received, Wednesday in Diamniadio, the Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, bearing a message from His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
Akhannouch leads a high-level Moroccan delegation participating in the proceedings of the Dakar 2 Summit on food sovereignty, which kicked off on Wednesday in Diamniadio, under the theme “Feed Africa: food sovereignty and resilience.”
This Moroccan delegation includes the Minister of Equipment and Water, Nizar Baraka, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests, Mohamed Saddiki, Chairman and CEO of the OCP Group, Mustapha Terrab, President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Entreprises, Chakib Alj, CEO of the Ithmar Capital Investment Fund, Obaid Amrane, and His Majesty the King’s Ambassador to Senegal, Hassan Naciri.
This event, taking place between January 25 and 27, intends to bring together governments, the private sector, multilateral organizations, non-governmental organizations, and academia in order to address the increasing challenge of food security in Africa.
