Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi Alami, held talks Tuesday in Rabat with a delegation representing the British Royal United Services Institute for Defence Studies (RUSI).
The House of Representatives said in a statement that this meeting is part of the British delegation’s study visit to North Africa and Spain between May 8 and 14.
On this occasion, the statement reported that Talbi Alami outlined the political, economic, and social reforms that Morocco has undertaken in recent years under the Enlightened Leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives welcomed the questions of the delegation as he provided detailed explanations on several topics relating to the democratic practice in Morocco, the impact of climate change, the management of the pandemic, renewable energies, and digital transformation, as well as “the major projects that promoted Morocco to a model of security and stability in the region.”
Established in 1927, the British Royal Institute of Defence Studies is a think tank that aims to facilitate forward thinking, free discussion, and careful reflection on defense and security matters.
