Moroccan rider Abdelkebir Ouaddar, along with his horse “Ceika Malouine,” won July 23 His Majesty King Mohammed VI Prize for the Moroccan senior show jumping championship.
As part of the 38th edition of Horse Week, this event was held under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, between July 15 and 23 at the Royal Equestrian and Tbourida Sports Complex Dar Es-Salam in Rabat.
Ouaddar clocked 60.98 with four penalty points in his two-run event, beating lieutenant Yassine Laklach (66.60 / 5.36), who was riding “Chadonia PS.” The third place went to El Ghali Boukaa and his horse “Ugolino Du Clos” (66.17 / 10.5).
Following the race, the President of the Royal Moroccan Federation for Equestrian Sports (FRMSE), Moulay Abdellah Alaoui, awarded a trophy to the winner and medals to the top three riders in the Moroccan senior show jumping championship.
The 38th edition of Horse Week saw the participation of 353 pairs, riders, and horses, who competed in 20 different categories.
The program featured several competitions, such as the Special Olympics Morocco Championship, the Moroccan A and B Dressage Championships, the Moroccan Club Championship, the Moroccan senior, senior amateur, junior, and cadet (U13, U18, and U21), pony and amateur championships, and the A and B Military Championships.
