Members of the Auxiliary Forces in Marrakech joined forces on September 14 to participate in a blood donation campaign, a noble gesture illustrating the corps’ stand of solidarity with the victims of Al Haouz earthquake.
Organized by the Regional Command of the Auxiliary Forces in Marrakech, this civic initiative, in which all the officers and members of this corps, of all ranks, as well as members of their families, participated, testifies to the mobilization and effective adhesion to solidarity with the victims of the earthquake that struck several provinces of the Kingdom.
In a statement to Maghreb Arabe Presse (MAP), the Regional Delegate of the Auxiliary Forces’ Social Works in Marrakech-Safi, Major Hanane El Morabit, stated that the Regional Command of the Auxiliary Forces in the region had organized this campaign in coordination with the Regional Blood Transfusion Center, in implementation of the High Directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR).
Major El Morabit also added that this humanitarian action aims to boost blood stocks to help the victims.
For his part, the General Supervisor of the Regional Blood Transfusion Center in charge of Awareness-raising, Communication, and Blood Donation Campaigns, Mahmoud Abghach, stressed that, in addition to the commitment and the tireless efforts the Auxiliary Forces make on the ground in contributing to rescue efforts, the Regional Command of the Auxiliary Forces of Marrakech-Safi agreed to join this blood donation campaign and contribute to this national solidarity effort, adding that the Auxiliary Forces were keen to participate in this national blood donation campaign at all regional blood transfusion centers, which helped boost the national stock of this vital material.
