The Council of the Arab League (AL) will hold an emergency ministerial meeting in Cairo on October 11, at the initiative of Palestine and Morocco.
Per the High Directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Morocco had called for an emergency meeting to examine the political actions to be taken at the Arab and international levels to prevent the escalation in the Palestinian territories and stop the targeting of civilians.
The Deputy Secretary General of the Arab League (AL), Hossam Zaki, stated, on October 9, that it had been decided to hold the meeting under the chairmanship of Morocco, the current Chairman of the Ministerial Council session, to discuss political action at the Arab and international levels and the deteriorating situation in the Gaza Strip and avoid any dangerous escalation that could threaten security and stability in the region.
