The Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, held talks, on November 19 in Berlin, with the Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz, on ways of strengthening cooperation between the two countries in different areas.
This meeting was an opportunity to discuss several issues of common interest and examine possible prospects of forging economic and commercial partnerships.
During the meeting, which took place in the presence of the Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah Alaoui, and His Majesty the King’s Ambassador to Germany, Zohour Alaoui, the two parties praised the distinguished partnership uniting Morocco and Germany and discussed different current and future challenges.
The Head of Government arrived in Berlin on November 19 to take part in the G20 “Compact with Africa” initiative, which will take place on November 20.
The G20 “Compact with Africa” (CwA) was initiated under the German G20 Presidency to promote private investment in Africa, including in infrastructure.
“Compact with Africa” aims to increase the attractiveness of private investment through substantial improvements of the macro, business, and financing frameworks, bringing together reform-minded African countries, international organizations, and bilateral partners from G20 and beyond to coordinate country-specific reform agendas, support respective policy measures and advertise investment opportunities to private investors.
