Morocco and Gabon signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation in the field of higher education.
Signed by the Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, Abdellatif Miraoui, and his Gabonese counterpart, Hervé Ndoume, on May 27 in Libreville, this agreement aims to offer students broader undergraduate and postgraduate training and enhance human capital through the mobility of students and teachers between the universities of Gabon and Morocco.
“This agreement aims to strengthen relations between Morocco and Gabon, particularly in the field of youth training, the mobility of teacher-researchers, technicians, and administrators of our universities,” noted Miraoui.
For his part, Ndoume revealed that this cooperation agreement will allow more exchanges between the two countries, adding that the strategic, close, and brotherly ties uniting Morocco to Gabon constitute “a fine example of south-south cooperation, based on the values of solidarity, exchange, and sharing”.
