The service offer of the National Electricity Company (Senelec) is experiencing some disruptions. Power cuts disturb the daily lives of Senegalese living in the capital and its surroundings.
The national company is temporarily reduced by the operation of two power stations. “The electricity supply is experiencing disruptions due to partial or total unavailability of the IPP power plants of Tobene Power and Contour Global,” explained Senelec in a press release.
The company attributes these power cuts to the “quality of the fuel received for their operation”. It therefore reassures users. “All the necessary measures are being taken for a return to normal operation of the plants concerned,” she informed.
