The fall session of the 42nd edition of the International Cultural Moussem of Asilah will be held, from October 29 to November 18, under the high patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, on the initiative of the Foundation of the Asilah Forum.
According to a statement from the Foundation, on Sunday, This autumn artistic and cultural event will be organized in partnership with the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication (department of culture) and the municipality of Asilah.
It will be marked by the organization of six conferences as part of the 35th edition of the Al-Muatamid Ibn Abbad Open University.
The inaugural conference, entitled “the Maghreb and the Sahel: the inescapable partnership?” will take place from 29 to 31 October, followed by a symposium on “What future for electoral democracy?” (from 3 to 5 November ), which will be moderated by the Former Portuguese Minister of Foreign Affairs ‘’Luis Amado’’.
The symposium “Arabs and new regional and international changes: where does pan-Arabism go?” (8-10 November) will be moderated by the Mauritanian writer and academic ‘’Abdullah Ould Abah’’. This session will conclude its work with the second poetic meeting “language of Arabic poetry today”, which will be moderated by the Moroccan Critic ‘’Charaf Eddine Majdouline’’.
The same source stated that these conferences will see the participation of several researchers, intellectuals, decision-makers, and poets from all over the world. This fall session will also be punctuated by a series of workshops (painting, engraving) and workshops that address writing for children, and others.
Unable to hold the 42nd edition of Moussem in 2020 due to Covid-19, the Asilah Forum Foundation nevertheless co-organized, last summer, a series of artistic activities intended to alleviate the effects of the pandemic on the population and visitors of the city.
