Casablanca’s new busway, Casabusway, was officially unveiled during a presentation ceremony held on Thursday at the CIL station at the Yaacoub Al Mansour and Sidi Abderrahmane intersection.
This place was chosen for its centrality and its multidimensional connection to all the districts of the Metropolis, thus embodying the characteristics of this new, unprecedented, comfortable, connected, aesthetic and punctual mode of transport from which Casablanca residents will soon benefit from.

The Busway completes the public transport offer of the economic capital. Casabusway is a “Clean Site” mode of Collective Transport which will offer the same performance and quality of service as the Tramway. It will serve its 42 Busway stations along a dedicated corridor, raised 14 cm from the road, except at intersections where the Busway will have priority managed with traffic lights at the corresponding intersections.
Casabusway and Casatramway will also be connected through three transfer points, thus strengthening the intermodality of Casablanca Public Transport and providing Casablanca residents with the comfort and modernity worthy of major world cities.
The stations of the Casabusway lines are qualitatively identical to the stations of Casatramway. These are closed stations with access via turnstiles, including access adapted for people with reduced mobility. They are about 28 to 30 meters long compared to about 65 meters for tram stations.
In a statement to the press, Rmili indicated that the Busway will be a revolution for the city of Casablanca since it will make it possible to lighten and facilitate transport, noting that the ultimate goal is to set up relay parking lots with a view to to use public transport instead of the car.
