DGSN Director General Abdellatif Hammouchi Holds Working Session with Belgian Deputy PM, Minister of Justice

The Director General of National Security (DGSN) and Territorial Surveillance (DGST), Abdellatif Hammouchi, held a working session, on November 1 in Rabat, with the Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice, Paul Van Tigchelt, and the Administrator General of the Belgian State Security Service, Francisca Bostyn. 

According to a press release from the General Directorate for National Security (DGSN), this working session was an opportunity to examine cooperation between Morocco and Belgium in several security areas of common interest and explore ways of strengthening and expanding this cooperation to address the growing challenges and threats posed by terrorism and transnational organized crime.

The same source added that this meeting is part of the commitment of the General Directorate for National Security (DGSN) and the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance (DGST) to strengthen international security cooperation mechanisms and the exchange of all information and expertise to neutralize the dangers of terrorist threats and dismantle organized crime networks and their transnational ramifications.

The press release also noted that the meeting testifies to Morocco’s position as a strong and strategic partner in regional and international efforts to strengthen security, address security challenges, and counter terrorist threats.
