Speaker of Djibouti’s National Assembly, Dileita Mohamed Dileita, reiterated, on July 5, in Rabat, his country’s support for the Moroccanity of the Sahara.
During his meeting with the Speaker of the House of Councilors, Enaam Mayara, Dileita affirmed Djibouti’s commitment to supporting and defending its position in support of the Moroccanity of the Sahara across all regional and international events.
The Djiboutian parliamentarian also stressed that his visit to the Kingdom at the head of a high-level parliamentary delegation aims to explore Morocco’s parliamentary expertise, praising the friendly relations uniting the two countries and the ongoing dynamic these relations have enjoyed in recent years.
In a similar context, Dileita emphasized the need to elevate economic cooperation relations to the exceptional level of political ties uniting Morocco and Djibouti, shedding light on the Kingdom’s strategy of diversifying partnerships at the regional and international levels, which is a testament to the Kingdom’s commitment to its African roots.
For his part, Mayara praised the excellent political relations between Morocco and Djibouti, based on mutual trust and respect, noting that the two countries share similar views on several regional and international issues.
Mayara also commended Djibouti’s support for the Moroccanity of the Sahara, which will undoubtedly contribute to finding a lasting political solution to this artificial conflict and achieving greater stability in the region.
After providing an overview of the Moroccan parliamentary expertise, Mayara stressed the importance of strengthening parliamentary cooperation by intensifying the exchange of visits, expertise, and know-how.
In this regard, the Moroccan parliamentarian suggested the creation of an economic forum bringing together businessmen from Morocco and Djibouti to encourage investment in several fields.
