Erik Schatzker, Editorial Director of the Bloomberg New Economy Forum, held in Marrakech between June 13 and 14, stated that Morocco is a major gateway for global trade.
“Morocco is a major gateway for global trade and a leader in climate action,” stressed Schatzker following the closing of the first continental edition of the Bloomberg New Economy Forum, held under the theme “Gateway Africa.”
At the continental level, Schatzker highlighted Africa’s promising future despite the many forces transforming our economies, societies, and the world, namely climate change, technology, demographics, and geopolitics, noting that sustainability and resilience issues are currently crucial to the future of all countries.
It should be recalled that the Founder of the Bloomberg Media Group, Michael R. Bloomberg, expressed, on June 13, at the inauguration of the forum, which brought together 200 world leaders, his gratitude to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah assist Him, for hosting this forum in Morocco, praising the Kingdom for its leadership under the Enlightened Vision of His Majesty the King.
Bloomberg also shed light on Morocco’s role as a regional driving force, which made the Kingdom an ideal choice to host the “Bloomberg New Economy: Gateway Africa” forum, stressing Morocco’s key position in resolving current global challenges, namely the climate crisis.
