King Felipe VI of Spain highlighted, on October 23 in Bilbao, Morocco’s “promising economic sectors”, stressing the “importance” of relations uniting the two Kingdoms.
In his speech at the opening of the XXVI National Family Business Congress, held under the theme “The Power of the People”, which sees the participation of Morocco as a guest of honor, King Felipe VI affirmed that “Morocco is a country with promising economic sectors.”
On this occasion, the Spanish King pointed out “the presence of several leading Spanish companies in Morocco.”
Addressing the representatives of approximately 600 family businesses, King Felipe VI stressed that Morocco’s participation in this congress “can contribute to a better understanding of the importance of relations with our neighboring country, Morocco.”
The Spanish Sovereign also reiterated his country’s solidarity with Morocco following the earthquake that struck Al Haouz region on September 8.
Organized by the Spanish Instituto de la Empresa Familiar (IEF) in collaboration with the Basque Family Business Association (Aefame), this two-day congress has become the most important business forum in Spain.
The second day of the conclave will be marked by a round-table discussion under the theme “Family Business: The Driving Force behind Morocco”.
