Lower House Speaker Addresses Message of Loyalty to HM King Mohammed VI

The Royal Office received a message of fidelity and loyalty addressed to His Majesty King Mohammed VI by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi Alami, on the occasion of the closing of the first session of the third legislative year of the eleventh legislature.

On this occasion, Talbi Alami renewed, in his name and on behalf of all the members of the House of Representatives, his sincere feelings of fidelity and loyalty to His Majesty the King, imploring Allah the Almighty to grant the Sovereign health and well-being and crown His actions with success.

“As we conclude the work of this legislative session, recalling everything that has been accomplished by the House of Representatives, we reiterate our commitment to continuing the missions with which we have been entrusted, driven by a spirit of collective work and an honest democratic culture, while always ensuring an environment of consensus, dialogue, exchange of opinions and listening to different choices, orientations, and proposals,” he added.

In a similar context, Talbi Alami affirmed that the Royal Message constituted an inspiring vision for a new roadmap within the framework of the Symposium organized by Parliament on January 17, 2024, under the High Patronage of His Majesty the King to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the first elected Moroccan Parliament.

“Per the Royal Message which urged us to make greater efforts to improve our democratic practices and our national institutional structure, to ensure that the supreme interests of our country prevail, all the components are committed to launching the construction of the parliamentary code of ethics, to live up to the expectations of Your Majesty, through a full commitment to the service of the general interest and the adoption of exemplary parliamentary conduct, in terms of thought, practice and commitment, while aspiring to the dissemination of democratic values, the consolidation of the rule of law and confidence in institutions,” stated the Lower House Speaker.

Talbi Alami further indicated that “at the end of this session, and by presenting the main results and conclusions, it is necessary to highlight the quality of the interaction between the legislative and executive bodies based on dialogue, mutual listening, and common will”, adding that the collective conscience within the House of Representatives, the government and also at the level of complementarity between constitutional institutions and governance bodies, remains among the main characteristics of this session, and the ones to come.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives also expressed his sincere pride in the spirit and content of the Royal Message addressed by the Sovereign on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the first elected Moroccan Parliament, noting that this message constitutes a highly appreciated signal and a catalyst for all parties concerned to continue their mobilization and qualitative participation under the ethics of national responsibility, in the service of Moroccans and Morocco.
