Morocco records 668 new covid-19 cases and 23 deaths In 24 Hours

  ‘’ Concerning the epidemiological situation in Morocco, 668 new covid-19 cases have been recorded in the past 24 Hours, increasing the total number of confirmed cases to 937,631 since the first case was announced on March 2, 2020’’, Morocco’s Ministry of Health reported.

Besides, the ministry also recorded 1,788 recoveries, bringing the total number of recovered infections to 915,017, accounting for 97, 5 percent of Morocco’s total recovery rate. Equally alarming, 23 more people related to covid-19 died from this vicious epidemic, which raised the death toll to 14,413. That is, Morocco has recently a 1.5 percent fatality rate.

The current highest recorded deaths encompass the Rabat-Sale-Kenitra region which recorded 7, followed by 6 in the Casablanca-Settat region, 2 in    Marrakesh and Safi, in addition to 1 in Tangier-Titouan- Al Hoceima region, 1 in the Eastern region, 3 in both Fes and Meknes, in addition to Souss Massa that recorded 1, Guelmim-Oued Noun by recording 1, and 1 in Laaayoune-Sakia Al Hamra.

  Further, the ministry highlighted, in the Daily Bulletin of the results of (Covid-19), that the number of people who received the first dose of the vaccine against Covid-19 reached 22 996 886 people, while the number of those who received a second dose Covid-19 vaccination reached 19 913 618 people. Regarding Covid-19 third dose vaccine, 111 577 people received it.
