Royal Moroccan Navy Provides Assistance to 65 Sub-Saharan Africans Seeking Irregular Migration

A Combat Unit of the Royal Moroccan Navy intercepted, on January 16, about 285 km southwest of Dakhla, a canoe with 65 Sub-Saharan Africans on board, including two minors, seeking irregular migration.

According to a press release from the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, the rescued individuals, who were heading towards the Canary Islands, received the necessary aid before being transported to the Port of Dakhla and handed over to the Royal Gendarmerie for the standard administrative procedures.
