Spain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, José Manuel Albares, will pay a visit to Morocco on December 13 and 14.
Maghreb Arab Presse (MAP) learned, on December 12, from diplomatic sources in Madrid, that “this visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations in various areas, notably political, economic, commercial and linguistic,” recalling that this is “Albares’ first bilateral trip abroad since the start of the new legislature”.
The head of the Spanish diplomacy will hold several meetings during his stay in Morocco, in particular with his Moroccan counterpart, Nasser Bourita.
Relations between Morocco and Spain experienced a strategic boost, following a meeting, in Rabat on April 7, 2022, between His Majesty King Mohammed VI and the Spanish Prime Minister, Pedro Sanchez.
The Joint Declaration adopted on this occasion expresses the two countries’ willingness and determination to boost the excellent relations which have always united Morocco and Spain, in a “spirit of trust and consultation”.
