The East Jerusalem Hospitals Network (EJHN) highly praised the efforts of His Majesty King Mohammed VI in supporting the Holy City and its inhabitants in several fields, expressing its appreciation and satisfaction with the outcome of the Network’s visit to Morocco as well as the warm welcome it received, within the framework of the action plan of Bayt Mal aAl-Quds Asharif Agency for social support.
In a letter addressed to the Agency, the heads of the charitable hospitals Maqassed Hospital, Augusta Victoria Hospital, Saint Joseph’s Hospital, the Palestinian Red Crescent, and the Arab Health Center highlighted the Agency’s working methodology as well as its close on-site monitoring of all programs and projects launched in the Holy City.
EJHN representatives expressed their admiration for the Moroccan medical staff’s “operational, technical and professional skills, their excellent moral qualities and their humanism, in addition to the warm welcome that the Palestinian medical delegation from al-Quds received from the Agency and the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.”
“We are pleased with the outpouring of hospitality and affection that you surrounded us with, which strengthened our trust in our common destiny and a brighter future,” stated the Network’s representatives, expressing their desire to further strengthen “the good bilateral relations that allow Palestinians to benefit from the expertise of Moroccan universities and the high standard services of Moroccan medical staff.”
“We left your country with its renowned hospitality, imploring Allah to grant Morocco security, tranquility, and prosperity, to grant His Majesty the King, may Allah assist Him, health and long life, to preserve Him as the custodian of justice and to surround Bayt Mal al-Quds Agency with His High benevolence,” the statement added.
It should be recalled that between February 20 and 27, the Palestinian medical delegation paid a visit to Morocco, during which it explored the development of the Moroccan health system, with a view to implementing universal social protection, in accordance with High Royal instructions.
During this visit, the delegation attended a meeting on the system of emergency relief, with the participation of officials from the Ministry of Health, took part in the signing of a protocol with Bayt Mal al-Quds Agency for the establishment of a unit for the coordination and monitoring of emergency cases and relief in al-Quds, and held a series of meetings with officials from the Ministry of Health, the Agency and the Order of Physicians.
