Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, stated, on August 26 in Lugano, Switzerland, that Morocco, under the Enlightened Leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, places youth at the center of its priorities.
Intervening at the 6th Middle East-Mediterranean (MEM) Summer Summit, Bensaid emphasized the special attention that His Majesty the King attributes to youth, which is reflected in various national programs dedicated to Moroccan youth.
The Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication reported in a communiqué that the Moroccan minister stressed the importance of offering youth from the Middle East and Mediterranean region the opportunity to exchange views with leaders and decision-makers.
The same source also added that Bensaid stressed the importance of strengthening cohesion between citizens and states while fully respecting cultural specificities, shedding light on the central role played by cultural diplomacy in international relations.
The Moroccan minister emphasized that one of the most important missions of young leaders is to promote culture as a tool for establishing peace and promoting development, in a global context marked by major geostrategic mutations, the effects of climate change, and rising unemployment.
