Morocco’s Under-17 football selection booked its ticket to the quarterfinals of the FIFA U-17 World Cup, following its victory over Iran on penalties on November 21 in Indonesia.
The Moroccan selection had a tough first half, given the solidity of its Iranian opponent, who tried to dominate the game. However, the situation changed in the second half.
The Moroccan U-17 selection seized control of the game in the second half, before conceding the game’s first goal, which was scored by Iranian Esmaeil Gholizadeh (72’).
This goal pushed Said Chiba’s young talents to look for an equalizer, which was achieved through a last-gasp goal by Nassim Azzouzi (90+3’). This sent the game to a penalty shoot-out, which the Moroccan selection ended in triumph (4-1).
