The Former President of the Republic of France, Nicolas Sarkozy described, on December 13 in Rabat, His Majesty King Mohammed VI as “an exceptional man and one of the great wise and visionary leaders”.
“His Majesty King Mohammed VI is a man whom I have never ceased to admire and respect,” said Sarkozy during the presentation ceremony of his latest work “Le temps des combats”, which took place in the presence of His Majesty’s Advisor, André Azoulay and France’s Ambassador to Morocco, Christophe Lecourtier.
During this meeting organized by the Council for Development and Solidarity (CDS), the former French president expressed his admiration for the Sovereign’s vision for Morocco, highlighting “the considerable development” that the Kingdom is witnessing in several areas under the leadership of His Majesty the King.
In a similar context, the former French president also shed light on the “exceptional relations” between Morocco and France, noting that “we share the same interests and relationships and we are so different but so close”.
“It’s a matter of history and future; there is a link, an affection and a mutual understanding between the two countries”, emphasized Sarkozy, expressing his admiration for Morocco.
“I have always felt this closeness with Moroccans, they are hospitable and very generous,” he added.
This ceremony was marked by the presentation of a commemorative plaque to Nicolas Sarkozy by the Council for Development and Solidarity (CDS).
On this occasion, CDS President Mohamed Benamour shed light on the particularity of this exceptional event organized in Rabat, the Capital of culture and enlightenment, which continues to develop under the Enlightened Vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, underlining that this event offers the opportunity to discuss major current issues in an ever-changing world.
