Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, held talks on January 30 in Rome with the President of the Italian Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, about ways to strengthen the “exceptional” relations uniting Morocco and Italy.
On this occasion, Akhannouch expressed his satisfaction with the “distinguished” partnership uniting the two countries, and discussed with Meloni ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation to face current and future common challenges.
This meeting was also an opportunity for both parties to examine ways to forge concrete and more effective partnerships in several areas, particularly in the field of renewable energies.
For her part, Meloni shed light on the excellent relations between the two countries, affirming noting that Italy “needs partners and friends like Morocco in Africa, in order to support it in its new approach of cooperation with the continent”.
In this regard, the President of the Italian Council of Ministers highlighted Morocco’s role in the “Rome Process”, affirming that “despite the exceptional nature of relations between Rome and Rabat, Italy always seeks to do better,” especially in light of excellent relations uniting the two countries.
It should be recalled that the Head of Government represented His Majesty King Mohammed VI at the “Italy-Africa: A Bridge for Common Growth” Summit, which took place on January 28 and 29 in Rome.
