The President of Gabon’s Transitional National Assembly, Jean-François Ndongou, reiterated on February 12 in Rabat, the firm position of his country in support of Morocco’s territorial integrity and the Moroccanity of the Sahara.
This position was reaffirmed during a meeting between Ndongou, who is on a working visit to the Kingdom, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi Alami, notes a press release.
On this occasion, the Gbaonese official recalled that Gabon was one of the first countries to participate in the Green March in 1975.
Ndongou also delivered a presentation on the transition underway in Gabon and the road map for the establishment of strong institutions with the aim of implementing a fluid democratic transition, through honest and transparent elections which reflect the consensus of all Gabonese political parties.
For his part, Talbi Alami praised the solid relations uniting the two countries and the two peoples, expressing the willingness of the Moroccan House of Representatives to share its expertise with the Transitional National Assembly of Gabon, particularly in the areas of digital transition, archiving, and parliamentary administration.
The lower house speaker also reviewed the major projects and profound reforms underway in the Kingdom under the Wise Leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
