Speaker of the Tanzanian National Assembly, Tulia Ackson, praised, on September 18 in Rabat, the major role played by His Majesty King Mohammed VI in mobilizing all Moroccans to overcome the outcome of the earthquake that struck several regions of the Kingdom on September 8.
During a meeting with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi Alami, Ackson expressed her deep condolences to the Moroccan people, stressing that Tanzania stands in solidarity with the Kingdom in the face of this tragedy.
During this meeting, also attended by President of the Morocco-Tanzania Parliamentary Friendship Group, Abdennour El Hasnaoui, Talbi Alami addressed several subjects on the strengthening of cooperation between Morocco and Tanzania’s legislative institutions by boosting the actions of the Parliamentary Friendship Group and the exchange of visits.
A press release from the House of Representatives stated that discussions between the two parties focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in agriculture, affirming that the Tanzanian official expressed her country’s willingness to benefit from Moroccan expertise in this vital field.
For his part, the Speaker of the House of Representatives highlighted Morocco’s leading role in the development of Africa and the promotion of investment in the continent, as part of the policy led by His Majesty King Mohammed VI and based on the promotion of South-South cooperation.
During her stay in Morocco, Ackson will conduct field visits to explore the major projects launched in the Kingdom under the Enlightened Leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
