Al Quds: Bayt Al Maghrib Launches Green March Festival

The “Green March Festival” was launched, on August 2 in al-Quds, as part of the Summer Schools program, underway until August 20.

The Festival is organized by the Association of the Moroccan Cultural Center “Bayt Al Maghrib” in Jerusalem, in cooperation with the associations and clubs benefiting from this year’s edition of the Summer Schools program, held under the aegis of Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency.

The festival, which was attended by the Agency’s Managing Director, Mohamed Salem Echarkaoui, alongside beneficiary children and their families, was marked by recreational activities, games, and musical performances.

On this occasion, Echarkaoui visited the sports facilities of the “Beit Hanina” club, praising the commitment and efforts of the club’s management in favor of Maqdissian youth and associations in the numerous sports disciplines.

The Festival, which was launched in the north of Al-Quds, will soon move to the south and center of the Holy City to benefit a greater number of children through performances and shows by professional artists, who are supported by the Agency to pursue their artistic activity.

The Summer Schools Program, organized in cooperation between “Bayt Al Maghrib” in Jerusalem and the relevant Maqdessi institutions under the theme “For the Dissemination of the Values of Unity and Solidarity,”  enshrines the role of the school in spreading these values among Palestinians through this program, the largest gathering of children in Al-Quds.

The program includes a large space for entertainment and leisure, and another for education and training, marked by the organization of 90 thematic and specialized workshops in art, music, theater, and sport, and specialized workshops in communication, languages, environmental education, training in advocacy techniques, and the use of intelligence in communication, thanks to modern information and communication technologies.

The program also includes soccer and intelligence game tournaments, as well as children’s games, entertainment evenings, carnival, and theater with the participation of specialized artists.
