On the Directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the Kingdom of Morocco, which is currently chairing the session of the Arab League (AL) Council, has called for an emergency meeting to discuss the alarming situation in the Gaza Strip.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, on the instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah assist Him, the Kingdom has called for an emergency meeting of the Council at the level of Arab Foreign Ministers to consult and discuss the deteriorating situation in the Gaza Strip and the outbreak of military action targeting civilians and examine ways of halting the escalation of this dangerous situation.
The statement concluded that intensive consultations are underway for the holding of the meeting this week at the headquarters of the Arab League (AL) in Cairo.
