His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah assist Him, sent a message of thanks and gratitude to the Emir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, following the participation of a Qatari search and rescue team in the relief and rescue efforts in the wake of the violent earthquake that shook Al Haouz region.
In this message, His Majesty the King expressed, on His behalf and that of the Moroccan people, His sincere thanks and deep gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani for the noble support given to Morocco following the violent earthquake of September 8.
“What consoles and comforts us in this painful ordeal is the outpouring of sincere solidarity towards Morocco from brotherly and friendly countries, including the State of Qatar, as usual,” wrote the Sovereign, hailing the support and assistance that Qatar has provided, under the High Guidance of HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, to the Kingdom of Morocco.
The Sovereign also praised the efforts of the Qatari search and rescue team, which provided great support to the Moroccan teams, thus reflecting the special nature of the relations that unite the two countries and perpetuating the ties of brotherhood, affection, and constant solidarity between the two peoples.
On this occasion, His Majesty the King reiterated to the Emir of Qatar His gratitude and esteem for the constant support of His Highness to his second homeland, the Kingdom of Morocco.
