Lower House Speaker Represents HM King Mohammed VI at Investiture Ceremony of New Paraguayan President

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi Alami, represented, on August 15 in Asuncion, His Majesty King Mohammed VI at the investiture ceremony of the new Paraguayan President, Santiago Pena.

The investiture ceremony took place at the Lopez Palace in the Paraguayan capital, in the presence of several heads of state, including Presidents Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva of Brazil, Alberto Fernandez of Argentina, Luis Lacalle Po of Uruguay, Gabriel Boric of Chile, as well as the King of Spain, Felipe VI, and delegations representing several countries.

During the investiture ceremony of Paraguay’s new president, the Speaker of the House of Representatives was accompanied by Morocco’s ambassador to Paraguay, Badreddine Abdelmoumni.

His Majesty King Mohammed VI had previously sent a congratulatory message to President Santiago Pena following his election as President of the Republic of Paraguay.

In this message, His Majesty the King expressed His firm commitment to collaborating with President Pena to strengthen the solid and friendly relations that bind the two countries and develop bilateral cooperation in several fields to serve the best interests of the two peoples and boost South-South cooperation.
