Morocco records 228 new covid-19 cases and 16 deaths In 24 Hours

‘’ Concerning the epidemiological situation in Morocco, 228 new covid-19 cases have been recorded in the past 24 Hours, increasing the total number of confirmed cases to 935,560 since the first case was announced on March 2, 2020’’, Morocco’s Ministry of Health reported.

Besides, the ministry also recorded 829 recoveries, bringing the total number of recovered infections to 910,540, accounting for 97, 3 percent of Morocco’s total recovery rate. Equally alarming, 16 more people related to covid-19 died from this vicious epidemic, which raised the death toll to 14,355. That is, Morocco has recently a 1.5 percent fatality rate.

The current highest recorded deaths encompass 7 in the Rabat- Sale- Kenitra region, followed by the Casablanca-Settat region that recorded 4, Marrakesh and Safi that recorded 1, in addition to 1 in Tangier-Titouan- Al Hoceima region, 1 in Souss-Massa, 1 in Beni Mellal-Khenifra, and 1 in Daraa-Tafilalet.

  Further, the ministry highlighted, in the Daily Bulletin of the results of (Covid-19), that the number of people who received the first dose of the vaccine against Covid-19 reached 22 839 037 people, while the number of those who received a second dose Covid-19 vaccination reached 19 427 092 people.
