Morocco records 936 new covid-19 cases, 23 deaths In 24 Hours

‘’ Concerning the epidemiological situation in Morocco, 936 new covid-19 cases have been recorded in the past 24 Hours, increasing the total number of confirmed cases to 934,007 since the first case was announced on March 2, 2020’’, Morocco’s Ministry of Health reported.

Besides, the ministry also recorded 1,447 recoveries, bringing the total number of recovered infections to 907,607, accounting for 97, 1 percent of Morocco’s total recovery rate. Equally alarming, 23 more people related to covid-19 died from this vicious epidemic, which raised the death toll to 14,290. That is, Morocco has recently a 1.5 percent fatality rate.

The current highest recorded deaths encompass 8 in the Rabat- Sale- Kenitra region, followed by Marrakesh and Safi that recorded 5, the Casablanca-Settat region that recorded 3, in addition to 1 in Tangier-Titouan- Al Hoceima region, 1 in both Fez and Meknes, 1 in Souss-Massa, 1 in Beni Mellal-Khenifra, 1 in the Eastern region, and 2 in Laaayoune-Sakia El Hamra.

         Further, the ministry highlighted, in the Daily Bulletin of the results of (Covid-19), that the number of people who received the first dose of the vaccine against Covid-19 reached 22 719 086 people, while the number of those who received a second dose Covid-19 vaccination reached 19 197 916 people.
