Tourism: Transavia Launches New Errachidia-Paris Air Route

A plane by the Dutch airline Transavia landed at Moulay Ali Cherif airport in Errachidia on October 29, which marks the inauguration of a new air link between Paris and Errachidia.

The inaugural flight departed from Paris-Orly International Airport with 136 passengers on board, including Moroccans based in France and tourists seeking to explore the wonders of Southeast Morocco.

On this occasion, a ceremony was held in the presence of the President of the Errachidia Provincial Tourism Council, Sadoq Abdedaim, the Director of Moulay Ali Cherif Airport, Brahim Haterbouch, and several other local high-level officials.

In a statement to the press, the President of the Provincial Tourism Council stressed that “this new service is in line with the growing demand for Errachidia as a destination with significant tourism potential.”

THE NEW ERRACHIDIA-PARIS ROUTE WILL OPERATE ONE FLIGHT A WEEK

The Director of Moulay Ali Cherif Airport stated that the new air link will connect Errachidia to Paris with a frequency of one flight per week, recalling that the airport welcomed 47,000 passengers in the first nine months of 2023, with an increase of up to 30% compared with the same period in 2022 and 25% in 2029. 

For their part, members of the Moroccan community based in France, who were on board, praised this new route and the warm hospitality they were welcomed with all while expressing their delight at returning to their beloved motherland in the company of their families.
